Voidfall Tactics
A love letter to final fantasy tactics and starfinder, quickly prototyped using Fable 5 in Claude and painstakingly modified, uploaded, and hosted on my humble site.
Voidfall Tactics — What’s New
June 14th 2026
Name your crew
Starting a new game now asks you to name your boarding party. Your crew name sticks with you through the whole run and shows up on the main menu.
Your progress saves automatically
Voidfall now remembers your adventure between visits. Close the tab, come back later, and your crew, your level, and your streak are right where you left them.
New main menu
- No game in progress? You’ll see New Game to start fresh.
- Game already going? You’ll see Resume Game to jump back in, plus Start Over if you’d like to wipe the slate and begin a new crew.
Resuming drops you back at the start of your current level — same deck, same hostiles — with your squad ready to redeploy.
Pause your adventure
There’s now a Pause Adventure button on the squad-select screen that takes you back to the main menu. Your progress is already saved, so you can step away any time without losing anything.
“Start Over” asks first
Wiping your progress is a big deal, so Start Over now warns you — showing the crew and progress you’re about to erase — and gives you a chance to back out before anything is deleted.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a freeze when an enemy caught itself in its own blast. Certain area attacks could lock up the turn order and leave the battle stuck with no way to continue. Turns now flow correctly no matter who gets caught in the blast.
- Fixed a freeze on the first enemy’s turn. In some battles the first hostile to act would stall and the game wouldn’t advance. Enemies now take their turns reliably from the opening move.
- Fixed a crash on victory. Winning a battle could drop you to a blank white screen instead of the victory screen. Victories now resolve cleanly every time.
Under the hood
This release is a full rebuild of the game’s foundation. You won’t see it directly, but it makes the game more stable and sets up faster, smoother updates going forward.
