Little Field

An exploration into basic save states wrapped in a casual gaming experience, produced in Opus 4.8. Carrying forward the lessons of my earlier projects, I held the game to a strict technical limit: the whole game, your farm, your money, your karma, the day, is saved in one browser cookie, which can hold at most 4 KB. A full farm saves in under 3 KB. That constraint kept the art and scope deliberately small, which makes the name a double entendre: it’s a little patch of farmland, and a little patch of digital storage.

Weekly Leaderboards planned but that is a problem for another day
